2. Purpose of Kira Fans Online

1. To serve as an introduction to Kira and her music for those who have not heard of her before, and as a general archive of material pertaining to her career.
2. To help expand global awareness of Kira and her music in English-speaking areas of the world, and in German-speaking areas of the world outside Europe.
3. To provide a means by which Kira's fans can network with each other and discuss her and her music.

3. General structure

1. This web site, which is designed to provide general information about Kira (biography, current and previous gigs, fan-written concert reviews, etc.);
2. A site on MySpace (set up in single-user mode), to serve primarily as a hub for fans to network with one another and as a means of providing news about Kira;
3. A moderated online forum on www.kirafans-online.foren-city.de, for fans to discuss Kira and her music.

4. Structure of this web site

1. This web site has been set up so that only the administrators can post directly here. Except for the "Guide for English-Speaking Users", which is posted in English only, material is posted in both German and English (German being the default language). Fans are invited to e-mail the administrators their submissions per Section 8 below. If a given submission is in only one of the two languages, one or both of the administrators will translate it into the other language.
2. Material prepared for posting to this site, whether written by the administrators or by fans, is first edited for space, content and copyright considerations and to be as sensitive to Kira as humanly possible ("the editing rule") before it is posted to the site. In the event that, after editing, some doubt still remains as to any given material's display of sensitivity, the questionable material is submitted to Kira's manager, Carolin Huder, for a decision.
3. The copyright in the material submitted by any fan remains the property of that fan, although again, the editing rule applies.
4. In the event that submissions contain material that has previously appeared in a reliable media source but has not first been mentioned by Kira or Carolin Huder to the administrators, the administrators will first verify this information with either or both of them before posting it to this site.
5. This website contains copyrighted images of the respective front cover artwork of Kira's albums, EPs and singles (collectively "CDs"). These images are used on this website solely as the primary means of visual identification of the CDs, and only in an image size small enough (120x120) that copies of these reduced-size images cannot be used to make illegal copies of the CDs. In this website are also embedded YouTube postings of Kira's videos. The CD artwork and videos are all used here with the permission of Kira and/or Carolin Huder.
6. The copyright in all other material posted to this website is the property of the administrators.

5. Structure of the MySpace site

1. The MySpace account is set up as a "single user" account, to which the administrators will have joint access.
2. Of the songs Kira posts to her own MySpace site, the most current one will be selected as the "signature" song to share on the Kira Fans Online MySpace site.
3. The administrators will post news about Kira in the blog section of the site in both German and English, with the German text presented first.
4. Here, too, the editing rule applies. If, after editing, any doubt remains as to sensitivity toward Kira, the material will be forwarded to Carolin Huder for a decision.
5. Fans will be able to network with each other privately after being added to the MySpace site as friends. The administrators reserve the right to deny the addition of any user who, in their opinion, has set up an account on MySpace to abuse the MySpace system.

7. Responsibilities of the administrators

1. Biographical material and announcement information submitted by the administrators shall be fresh rewrites of the text in the original sources, with all the basic information included and nothing else added.
2. This web site contains links to external sites. In the event that Kira and/or Carolin Huder notify the administrators of any incorrect or incomplete information posted on any of those sites, the administrators will post the corrections and/or additional information to this site, along with a note of the error or omission.
3. In the event that Kira and/or Carolin Huder pass information on to the administrators and request that it not be revealed to the fan community until a certain date, the administrators will honor that request.

8. Ground rules for contributors

1. Kira Fans Online will accept concert reviews and personal photographs on an ongoing basis. As noted above, the copyright to this material remains the property of the contributors, with the editing rule applying.
2. Kira Fans Online shall NOT be a gossip site. Out of respect for Kira's privacy, contributors are not permitted to make any references to her personal life. Also, no announcements relating to upcoming gigs, or to the status of any albums or other works that Kira has in progress, or any other aspect of Kira's professional life will be permitted unless such announcements have first been mentioned on her own website or in a verifiable, reliable source--and all sources must be cited, as is currently done on Wikipedia.
3. In the interest of respecting German and international copyright laws, no fan-produced video or audio footage or MIDI files of Kira's material or performances will be permitted. This includes, for example, the YouTube fan footage of Kira at the LTU Arena in Düsseldorf. Fan-produced material previously authorized by Kira--for example, the footage produced by Michael Landeck for his version of her "Alte Frauen" video--is exempt, but will not be posted to this website by the administrators without the permission of both Kira and the fan who produced it.
4. No photos or other media material currently or previously posted directly to Kira's site, including press photos, are to be added to this site without the permission of either Kira or Carolin Huder.

9. Legal disclaimers

1. The administrators hereby declare that they are not responsible for the correctness or the content of any material submitted by the fans, except to the extent that the editing rule is applied.
2. As noted above, this site contains links to external web sites. The administrators declare that at the time the links were added to this site, the websites they point to contained no discernible illegal content.
3. Additionally, the administrators declare that they have no influence on the current and future design and/or content of the external web sites that this site links to. Therefore, the administrators hereby expressly:
   1. disassociate themselves from any and all contents and/or design of all linked web sites, particularly those linked web sites whose contents and/or design were changed after the links were added here; and
   2. declare that the contents on these external websites are not their own.
   This applies to all third-party web site links within the contents of the web sites linked to here. For any web site for which a link has been provided here, the responsibility for illegal, incorrect or incomplete contents, and especially for any damages resulting from the use of, or the failure to use, the information provided, rests solely with the provider of the page to which the link refers.
