Since she was signed by singer-actor Herbert Grönemeyer to his record label Grönland in the year 2002, Kira has released two albums, and performed dozens of times all over the German-speaking regions of Europe and even in China, in venues ranging from clubs to 70,000-seat soccer stadiums. In so doing, she has become very successful, and her music is something very special on the pop/indie scene, not just in Germany but around the world. In March 2009 Kira released her EP Deine Insel, on which she sings both German- and Chinese-language versions of "Mein Herz gehört dir".

Kira Fans Online, established March 6, 2009 and officially sanctioned by Kira and her manager Carolin Huder, was formed as a joint venture among fans to serve as an enjoyable, positive outlet for her fans around the world to network among each other, discuss Kira and her work, and share their experiences in seeing her perform.

Kira Fans Online consists of four components: this web site, a MySpace site , a Twitter site and a Chinese site on Streetvoice (see links above). We invite Kira's fans to join the MySpace site as friends and to contribute to this site and to the Streetvoice site. Kira Fans Online is a place created by the fans for the fans!

Is this the Kira you were looking for? If not, you may have been looking for some other artist that has used the stage name Kira. Examples include Kira Shields of California, Natasja Witte of Belgium, and even the bassist for the Italian "Visual Kei" band Do Not Reanimate.
